Eads, Colorado Storm and Tornadoes: May 9, 2015

On May 9, 2015, a number of tornadoes occurred along the Front Range and eastern plains of Colorado. The storm shown here formed south of Lamar, Colorado and moved north-northeast, passing near Eads, Cheyenne Wells, and finally becoming multicellular southwest of Burlington.

Mesocyclone/wall cloud shortly before the first tornado
Elephant trunk tornado, shown with my old nemesis, the power line

Storm overview - note tornado underneath! Between Eads and Cheyenne Wells.
Wedge tornado, with surrounding storm, north of Eads
One of the last tornados the storm produced, between Eads and Cheyenne Wells. The wall cloud on the right produced (at least) another funnel about 30 seconds later.
I couldn't well visit the Arkansas Valley without seeing whats left of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe. Complete with storm in background.
